Slinkachu.
"the Little People Project started in 2006." It involves the remodelling and painting of miniature model train set characters, which I then place, photograph and leave on the street." It is both a street art installation project and a photography project." The street-based side of my work plays with the notion of surprise and I aim to encourage city-dwellers to be more aware of their surroundings." The scenes I set up, more evident through the photography and the titles I give these scenes, aim to reflect the loneliness and melancholy of living in a big city, almost being lost and overwhelmed." But underneath this, there is always some humour." I want people to be able to empathise with the tiny people in my works."
This picture shows a small figure playing Basketball. The photographer has used a small depth of field meaning the back is out of focus. I think the photographer has photoshopped this image because he has used a pull ring from a can, making it seem like a basketball hoop. I think he's stuck the figure on the wall, and then photoshopped the wall out. That's why the background doesn't fully match.
This picture shows a figure protecting it's child from a bee Because bees have stings and are dangerous. In this picture, the bee is near enough bigger than the figure. The photographer has used a large depth of field since you can see the background. The photographer has taken the image from the sides of the figure and the bee because he wanted to show the figure was protecting his child.
The photographer has chosen a grey background to make the colour of the black bee stand out, and the blue pants of the figure. This is to make his work stand out and noticed.
This picture shows a small figure lifting up a lego and about to throw it. His friend with the red coat is telling him to calm down. This cameraman took this picture by putting the figures on a balcony, then he put a red lego on the figure to make it look like the figure lifted the lego up and is about to throw it.
Pierre JaVelle and akiko ida
This picture shows a miner opening a peanut with a hammer and screw. This photographer has got a miniature figure in a position of mining something and put him near a peanut. He then took the picture to make it look like he is mining. The photographer to me has used a side view, a small depth of field and the colours he has used are neutral. His figure in this picture is not as bright as Slinkachu's work, this shows that both photographers have different styles of work.
This picture shows two constructors cracking an egg open. The photographer here has got two figures dressed as construction workers and put them on top of an egg. This egg has already had a little crack in it and the photographer put two figures on it to make it look like the figures are cracking the egg open. The photographer has again used a small depth of field, to show what's going on in the picture. The central focus point is on the egg. Every egg used have different tones of pale colours to make the figures stand out.If the background colour was bright, you would not be able to see the figures.
Isaac cordal
Isaac Cordal also photographs little figures. In busy cities like Slinkachu. This image to me looks as though it's been taken in a junkyard. The figure used looks like he's stuck inside the sand. He has a worried expression. I prefer Isaac's work over Slinkachu's work, because Isaac's figure's are more interesting.
The image on the right is quite interesting, as the photographer has used the rule of thirds by placing the man over to the left. You can see the textures of the sand, he has used a small depth of field (focusing on just the figure. The figure is wearing a mask, which makes me wonder what he's up to.
These images are as playful as the other ones. They have a more darker and sinister feel to them.

first take
worst picture
This is my worst picture because it doesn't show that much detail. It is not that good compared to the other photographs I've taken.
best picture
This is my best picture because it really shows what's happening, with both figures. One figure is trying to save the other. The photograph has a good focus point and has been taken at an angle that shows clearly the two figures.
Second take
worst picture
This is my worst photograph because it is out of focus and it's too bright. I must have moved the camera 1/2 second after I took this photograph. It's not clear what I was trying to capture.
Best picture
I feel this is my best picture because you can see the details of the macs and the slinkachu together. I use a small depth of field and my focus point was on the mac behind the slinkachu.
third take
worst picture
This is my worst picture because it's showing nothing. It's out of focus and I have taken it at the wrong angle.
best picture
This is the best picture because it is clear and you can see what the slinkachu figure is doing, he is trying to break up the banana skin. The idea of using food came from the influence of the photographers I've researched, especially Pierre Javelle and Akiko Ida work as a lot of their shoots contain food.
fourth take
worst picture
This is my worst picture because it is out of focus and my focus point is off. Because of this, you cannot see the Slinkachu figures.
Best picture
This is my best picture because it is in focus and has good detail.
